We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely. During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited. A few of the measurable results of relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure, the improvement of immune function, improved  digestion,  reduction of muscle tension and generalized fatigue. During our resting poses our bodies are supported by props so we can deeply relax.

In my  classes we start with a light meditation, focusing on the breath, move into some gentle active poses, restorative poses then end with a long savasana.  Simply wonderful……..Focusing on emptying the mind of worries and daily stress in our lives. Focusing on the present moment and creating space in our world
